When it comes to seamless luxury moves in Utah’s mountain communities, Park City Professional Organizers make all the difference. Recently, our team of professional organizers at Nice & Neat Homes supported a client in the Promontory area as he and his family transitioned from one stunning home to another. With a family of six, a highly designed new home, and a full garage install ahead, this move required precision and thoughtful execution from start to finish.
Here’s how we did it.
Pre-Move Planning & Strategic Packing
Every successful move begins long before moving day. We started with a detailed walk-through of both the client’s current home and new home to understand the family’s lifestyle and priorities. We evaluated what contents would be staying or going, and how much inventory we’d need to pack and plan to implement in the new home. We also went over preferences in regards to placement and organizing product aesthetics.
Instead of traditional cardboard boxes, we partnered with King Tote to use their durable, stackable rental totes. They’re sturdier, sustainable, and create a much cleaner moving process with no crushed boxes or piles of debris to discard after the move.
From there, we implemented our signature color-coded packing system. Each room in the new home was assigned a specific color. Every tote was labeled by room, then numbered. We also created a master packing key for our client detailing exactly what went into each numbered tote.
This meant:
- Movers knew exactly where every tote belonged.
- Our team could prioritize strategic unpacking.
- The client could reference the key to locate any item immediately.
- We knew exactly how many totes were being transferred and unpacked.
Coordination with Movers
On moving day, we worked directly alongside our moving partners Momentum Moving, who made sure that every item landed in the correct room the first time. Because the totes were uniform and stackable, each space stayed tidy and manageable. We could begin installing systems immediately instead of sorting through misplaced boxes.
Strategic Unpacking & System Installation
We don’t simply “put things away.” We build systems designed to function beautifully long-term.
Kitchen
In the kitchen, we focused on both efficiency and aesthetics. We installed turntables for oils and sauces, modular drawer organizers, airtight OXO containers for dry goods, and matching glass spice jars for a cohesive look. Every shelf was measured during the consultation to ensure the product would fit perfectly. Where possible, we repurposed organizing bins the client already owned if they fit the new space seamlessly.

Pantry
The pantry was designed for visibility and sustainability. We incorporated drawer dividers for snacks, a tiered can riser for easy access, wire bins and deep acrylics for other food categories. Categories were clearly defined with labels, giving this busy household room to grow without creating clutter.

Mudroom
Mountain living comes with gear. In the mudroom, notched acrylic bins created designated zones for hats, gloves, seasonal accessories, and first aid. Each family member had a clear drop space to prevent overflow into the main living areas.

Laundry Room
In the laundry room, multipurpose bins separated cleaning supplies and backstock. Linens were folded to perfection and labeled by size and type. Even this highly functional space felt elevated and cohesive with the rest of the home.

Bathrooms
In each bathroom, we created streamlined systems using drawer organizers and contained zones with acrylic bins beneath the sinks to separate daily-use products from backstock. Items were sorted and grouped intentionally so mornings could run smoothly for the entire family.

Closets Throughout the Home
Closet installation is where our strategic planning truly shines.
In the primary closet, we created a boutique-style experience using black velvet hangers for uniformity, shelf dividers to maintain structured stacks, and Montauk bins for accessories. All clothing was color-coded, with no item left untouched. Every piece on a shelf or in a drawer was perfectly folded for consistency and polish.
Each of the four boys’ bedrooms was unpacked and fully installed with systems designed to grow with them. We used Kiva bins for toys and miscellaneous items, drawer dividers for clothing, and age-appropriate closet layouts that support independence. Clothing was organized by category and color, making daily routines easier to maintain.

Garage Transformation
The garage was one of the most impactful transformations. We partnered with Upkeep Garage Storage to install a full slat wall system and custom cabinetry. Vertical storage maximized wall space for tools and sports equipment, while Steadyracks allowed bikes to pivot flat against the wall, freeing up valuable floor space.
The result was a garage that flows as a streamlined, natural extension of the home.

Matching Aesthetic & Repurposing Product
One of the most important aspects of this project was honoring the home’s refined mountain-modern design. Every new bin, divider, and container was selected to match the aesthetic with clean lines and neutral tones.
At the same time, we carefully evaluated what the client already owned. If a product worked proportionally and visually, we repurposed it. Nothing was forced. Every decision was thoughtful.

The Final Reveal
By the time the last tote was picked up, every room was fully functional. Beds were made, closets aligned, pantry stocked, and the garage complete without a single cardboard box in sight.
